Blog 9/12: šŸ“ā€ā˜ ļøONE-PIECE LIVE ACTION: FLOP OR ON TOPšŸ“ā€ā˜ ļø

ā€œOne Pieceā€: one of the best anime to ever have been made. Even though it may be more than a thousand episodes long ā€” and has yet to finish, according to the author ā€” it is the best (DO NOT QUESTION ME ). When the ā€œOne Pieceā€ live-action was first being talked about and I saw that trailer, I wanted to cry ! Not tears of joy, but tears of extreme sadness because of how bad the trailer was. But, I decided to give it a chance for my friend who thought it wasnā€™t too bad. Now, there have been plenty of live-action movies and TV shows that have come out that try to reimagine our favorite fairy tales: Beauty and the Beast, Snow White and Aladdin. Some of them have been good while others have received plenty of criticism and backlash.

However, now that I am 5 episodes in, I can say that it is kinda ok.

Was it the best? No.

Was it the worst? No.

It was surprisingly decent for what it is, and stays relatively truthful to the original story. Some of the scenes were even almost enhanced by the cinematography and music choices of the creators. Scenes like that of the Buggy the Clown were much more dramatized and managed to invoke a sense of fear with the way they were shot, along with the scary/dramatic music used.

All in all, I would give the ā€œOne Pieceā€ live action a 7/10.
